Carolyn Coger Roofing is a Dallas roofing company that does one thing more than anything else: metal roofs. We install new ones, replace worn-out shingle roofs with steel, and repair the metal roofs other people put on and walked away from.

Why metal, and why Dallas

North Texas is hard on a roof. Summer surface temperatures on a dark roof run well past 150 degrees, hail season comes back every spring, and straight-line winds find any edge that was not fastened properly. A well-installed metal roof handles all three better than the asphalt roofs most of the city has, and it does it for decades instead of a dozen years.

It is also unforgiving of shortcuts. Wrong fastener spacing, a missing clip, the wrong underlayment under hot panels or a bad flashing detail at a chimney turn a forty-year roof into a callback. Most of what we know, we learned fixing those.
